Is my car supported?
Dr.Driver work with vehicles in or after 1996.You can check the OBDII port in your vehicles. In most cases, the OBDII port is located below the steering column. It may also be located at the center console, sometimes on the passenger side.
Which phones are compatiable?
Dr.Driver is compatiable with iOS & Android phones and tables while normal Bluetooth model only works with Android. The Bluetooth 4.2 BLE model(and 3.0) is compatible with both platforms.
Can I plug in the device at any time for long-term use?
If you drive a vehicle often, you can insert a Bluetooth model depending on the condition of the battery. If you park your car for several days to serveral weeks, we recommend that you remove the OBDII device.
What's the setup procedure?
Install Dr.Driver app on your phone. Frist, find your OBDII port and insert the sensor into the car, then start the engine. Next, click Dr.Driver app on your smartphone and wait for the app to display the end of the activity indicator. If the activity indicator does not end, close the application and repeat the above steps.
How much does app cost?
Dr.Driver app is free.
Which sensor data can Dr.Driver read?
Generally, newer vehicles will provide more readings and faster refresh rates. Please also note that due to the limited throughput of the vehicle bus/OBDII device, the greater the number of sensors in the list, the lower the refresh rate.
Connection drops during use
Try connecting to another phone/vehicle again. If you disconnect again, you will need to unplug the device and reinsert it to reconnect.
Dr.Driver not found by App
You should ensure that the ignition key is in the ON position (or start the engine). If Dr.Driver is turned on, make sure you are using a compatible phone/tablet. Check that Bluetooth is turned on and the correct connection settings are made in the application. Exit the application completely and restart it to connect again.
Cannot connect to a vehicle or OBDII protocal
Confirm that your vehicle is OBDII compliant and the ignition key is ON. If it applies to other vehicles, check that the protocol is compatible with all major OBDII protocols:
